Recently we have seen our world change enormously. COVID-19 is challenging our health systems, our economies and indeed our very way of life. To meet this challenge head on Enovation has enacted its business continuity plan. While this will change how we do business, it will ensure we have continuity of service for customers. Our plan will also ensure we do everything we can to protect the health and safety of our team, their families and our customers.
We have moved remote:
The Enovation team have begun working from home. We are very fortunate to be able to do this thanks to the significant investment we have put into our infrastructure and the continuity planning that is a key part of our ISO 27001 accreditation. All remote working staff have secure connections to our networks using provided or approved devices. The transition has been seamless given the internal communication tools are used for many years. We have also cancelled any face to face meetings scheduled with customers. This is unfortunate but necessary to ensure we adhere to the social distancing guidelines.
We understand that you, our valued clients and customers, will have a number of questions that will need answering as this situation continues to progress. As we all settle in to a new way connecting. We have composed a guide to a number of Frequently ask questions that have emerged in the last few weeks.
Will there be an impact on my Moodle/Totara?
We are seeing big spikes in activity across our LMS sites. As more and more of our customers use our online services to deliver educational programmes this trend will increase. To date we have managed this very effectively working with customers to ensure we maintain a high level of service for their learners. If you have any specific queries or concerns about this please reach out to your account manager or add a support ticket.
How will these changed affect our customers?
Well it doesn’t really. All our support channels remain open and the team is ready to support you in this challenging time. You can still call our reception at +353 (0)1 602 4784 who can put you through to whomever can deal with your query most effectively. Your account manager is still available and our support portal is still active at support.enovation.ie
We have a number of tools that can be a useful addition to your eLearning ecosystem. During this time of remote working, we have been using BigBlue Button and Microsoft teams to keep connected. We also offer a number of other tools that can make this transition easier for you and your team including Zoom and Go1. Be sure to contact us for more information and to discuss your options.
Our team of experts here at Enovation partnered with Microsoft to further develop the Office 365 suite of plugins with the integration of Moodle with Microsoft Teams. The last two weeks we have seen our world change enormously and we have been working together with our partners to facilliate our customers with solutions that can assist remote working and remote learning.
Enovation developed a new Atto Editor plugin that calls the Microsoft Teams LMS Meetings app, so Moodle users can quickly add a new meeting link into all Moodle activities that uses this text editor. Moodle users with Microsoft accounts can create audio and video conference calls (meetings) using the Atto Teams Meetings plugin for Moodle, for free (Microsoft Teams is included in Office 365 A1, which is free for educational institutions). The plugin provides an easy way to create a Microsoft Teams Meeting from within the Atto Editor wherever it’s available, for example: calendar events, forum posts, pages, or assignments.
